Aims & Scope

Animal and Veterinary Journal is an international, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary open-access journal that publishes high-quality original research, reviews, and short communications in all aspects of veterinary and animal sciences. The journal aims to provide a platform for disseminating significant scientific advancements and fostering discussions on novel biomedical and veterinary research with a comprehensive and integrative approach.

The primary mission of the journal is to inform the global scientific community about innovative research findings that have direct implications for animal health, welfare, production, and their broader impact on public health and the environment. We encourage submissions that present novel insights into disease pathogenesis, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as those contributing to a substantial improvement in veterinary medicine and animal science.

Scope and Areas of Interest

The journal welcomes studies in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health: Research on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious and non-infectious diseases, including zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance.
  • Comparative Medicine and Zoonotic Diseases: Studies emphasizing the interrelation between animal and human health through zoonotic disease research and translational medicine.
  • Pathogenesis, Epidemiology, and Immunology: Investigations into the origin, transmission, and immune responses to diseases affecting domestic, wild, and farm animals.
  • Reproductive Biology and Theriogenology: Advances in reproductive physiology, estrus synchronization, fertility management, and assisted reproductive technologies.
  • Animal Physiology and Welfare: Research on physiological mechanisms governing growth, metabolism, stress responses, and ethical considerations in animal management.
  • Animal Nutrition and Feed Science: Novel approaches to optimizing dietary strategies for improved animal health and productivity.
  • Veterinary Education and Teaching Methods: Innovations in veterinary education, training, and pedagogical approaches.
  • Livestock Farming and Sustainable Animal Agriculture: Precision livestock farming, environmental impact of animal production, and sustainability in food security.
  • Quality and Safety of Animal-Derived Products: Studies on food safety, consumer perceptions, and public health implications.

Editorial and Ethical Standards

The journal maintains rigorous scientific and ethical standards. Studies must be scientifically robust, hypothesis-driven, and methodologically sound, ensuring appropriate experimental design, replication, and statistical analysis. We do not accept studies that are preliminary, lack scientific rigor, or have limited generalizability beyond a specific geographic area. Additionally, case studies and field reports are considered only if they contribute significantly to general scientific knowledge.

Through the rapid dissemination of high-quality research, Animal and Veterinary Journal aims to contribute to scientific excellence and practical advancements in veterinary medicine, animal science, and public health worldwide.
